November Poll Results: What is the hardest course you’ve ever run on?

In the duel between VCP and Holmdel – it looks like the NY course won out as most challenging in PVI XC’s eyes. Why, though? That’s what I want to know…

1. VAN CORTLANDT PARK – 15 votes, 36%

2. GCC ‘B’ Course – (even though someone today admitted they voted for this course on purpose) 11 votes, 26%

3. HOLMDEL – (the next logical choice) 10 votes, 24%

4. BELMONT – 5 votes,  12%

5. GCC ‘C’ Course – 1 vote, 2%

Belated Congratulations…

To Alec Holland and Tom Hoban for their participation in the Foot Locker Eastern Regional Freshman Race held at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx.

Tom finished 48th and Alec finished 79th out of a big field of over 130 runners. They were expecting better, but there are many seasons ahead of them!

Both freshman braved frigid weather to run respectably and walk away with the experience and the knowledge they now know they need in order to compete with national caliber competition!!

XC Banquet a Success!

Thank you to all who came out and all the desserts, especially the Paul VI cake which looked so extravagant – no one dared to touch it. (Hopefully we can get a picture of that up soon)

To the seniors, I have winter and spring to beat up on you but it was great getting to know you guys as runners and people…keep running.

Remember to check out who won the TEAM AWARDS. At the banquet, we also announced our captains for the 2008 Cross Country season.
